Patient Service Associate
Fara graduated in 2007 and joined the service industry. She was initially with a children’s apparel firm, LifeBaby Pte Ltd as a retail executive. In 2010, she joined the Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery Centre (HRMC) at the National University Hospital (NUH) as a Patient Service Associate. This stepping out of her comfort zone allowed her to rediscover purpose and joy in her life that came from patient care and serving people. Since then everyday has been a learning journey and she has been growing both professionally and as an individual.
She genuinely enjoys engaging with patients and feels a sense of
satisfaction, when she is able to support patients when they are not at their best.At HRMC, she got quality improvement awards in 2014 and 2019, a first impressions award in 2017 and was promoted to Senior Patients Service Associate. She loves to travel as it allows her to learn more about herself. The most important thing her decade of service at NUH has taught her that“Patient Care Transcends Medical Care” and that is what she brings with her to Orthopaedic and Hand Surgery Partners.
